First, you must get approval for obtaining Turkish citizenship: this step takes between 30 and 45 days.
This stage begins with the submission of identification documents, which include the title deed, receipts for transferring the value of the property, and the real estate evaluation that proves that the value of the property exceeds 250 thousand US dollars.
After submitting these documents within a period of one or two weeks, the Title Dept shall notify the buyer of the necessity to pledge, meaning not to sell it for a period of three years, also according to the law. After that, the documents are submitted to the General Directorate in the governorate in which the buyer resides.
Obtaining Turkish citizenship by bank deposit:
This method is faster than the method of owning real estate, as it is sufficient to obtain proof from the bank by depositing the amount of 500 thousand US dollars, and pledging not to move it for a period of no less than three years, and submitting the rest of the identification documents.
It takes a maximum of 12 to 28 days to obtain approval for obtaining Turkish citizenship, depending on the bank.
After getting the approval, the investor prepares the rest of the documents, which include health insurance, rental contract, personal photos, passport copy, tax receipt. These documents are submitted to the Citizenship Department to obtain an investor residence first, and while the investor owns a tourist residence in the country, there is no need for investor residence.
After a week or 10 days, the department sends to the investor first an investor residence permit. After obtaining this residence permit, the investor completes his file and submits it to obtain citizenship.
It takes 45 to 60 days for individuals to obtain citizenship, and for families, a period of no less than 60 days.
