According to the law, the person who wants to drive a car must not be less than 18 years old, and a foreigner can drive his car within Turkish territory using by his country’s driving license after it has been translated and attested for a period of 6 months. After that, the foreign resident must exchange his country’s driving license with one Turkish license.
What are the documents needed to obtain a driving license in Turkey?

All previous documents must be submitted to the driving training school in addition to the school fees, usually 1500 TL, then the driving training will start.
After completing the driving training, a theoretical and practical test is conducted for the applicant. The theoretical test consists of 50 questions that must be solved within 60 minutes, with a score of at least 70%.
After completing the theoretical exam, the school sets apointment for the practical exam, where the applicant must pass the two tests in order to obtain a driver’s license. If the applicant succeeds in the theoretical exam and fails the exam, he can repeat the practical exam alone.
After passing the practical and theoretical exams, the school sends the applicant to a bank to deposit the amount of 520 Turkish lira as a driver's license fee, for the school to provide the deposit receipt with the rest of the documents.
After that, an appointment will be set at a security center located at the applicant’s residence address. The applicant goes with all the documents and submits them to the security center. The center provides the applicant with a temporary driving license valid for one month, and after a month, the applicant takes a driving license valid for 10 years from the date of issuance.
