Turkey and Egypt have strong commercial, cultural, religious and historical ties. These relations between both countries have gone through periods of fluctuation of rapprochement. The Turkish-Egyptian relations started in 1925 represented by the Chargé d'Affairs, and improved on 07/04/1937 when a friendship agreement was signed between Turkey and Egypt, and relations improved further when the Turkish Foreign Minister Tawfiq Rushdi Aras visited EGYPT on the occasion of the entry into force of the Treaty of Friendship on 01/04/1938, after which it rose to the level of dealing with ambassadors between the two countries in 1948.
As for economical relationship, Turkey and Egypt signed a free trade agreement in 2005.
Turkey and Egypt also have a fundamental role in shaping the political map in the Middle East, which made their political relations fluctuate, especially in recent years as a result the two countries diagreed over many important files in the region. As relations between Turkey and Egypt became strained in 2013, when Ankara summoned its ambassador in Cairo, which Egypt responded to in the same way, leading to the consequence that the two sides considered their ambassadors to the other as persona non grata, but the embassies of the two countries did not close their doors, and they continued to operate at a low level of representation over the past eight years at the intelligence level only. However, these tensions and disagreements ended, and the signs of improving relations emanating from the two states began.

Egyptians turn out to invest in Turkey
The Turkish government attracts foreign investors in general, Arabs in particular, and among the most popular nationalities to invest in Turkey, the Turkish nationality, as during the first quarter of 2021, the Egyptian nationality was ranked tenth among the nationalities that buy most real estate in Turkey, according to a statistic mentioned by the Turkish statistics data platform Tuik.
The Turkish government had recently issued a decision allowing foreign investors to obtain Turkish citizenship by purchasing real estate within Turkish lands with a value exceeding 250 K USD.
